I got my E61 updated to v18 and now I got a new option in the ligth setting menu. In Car settings- Lights I now have an option of "Running daylight". The only problem is that I have no idea of Running daylight might be and becouse it's a new option in the iDrive it's not mentioned in the manual. I have tested to switch it on and off but I cant see any difference anywhere.

Any one got an idea?

When you select the running daylight option your lights will remain continously on (at a lower setting) if you have the Lights switch on Auto mode. If not the light sensor will turn them on or off according to the light conditions.

Hope this helps

It's for putting on your highbeams on a low wattage when you drive during the day to give extra visability. It's very comon in the USA and I have seen some audi A6's drive around over here with the DRL's on too..
