I think you can buy matte film and just cover up the chrome trim around your windows. look @ my sig if you need a visual.

the chrome trim brings out the ugly lines of the E60. shadowline hides these lines, by allowing the eye to flow throughout the car and not focus on area's of grossness. hahahaha!

keep your chrome trim bro. it matches your chrome wheels.

Gotta agree with the C. The chrome isn't complimenting at all. On some cars it is.. (my old accord coupe looked pretty good with the chrome trim), but it's atrocious on this car... imo..

If you get the sport package it comes with the shadowline trim. One of the identifiers of having sport was the shadowline trim vs. chrome. But now a days, those who have the chrome trim just use matte vinyl to cover it. I think you can actually swap out the entire trim, but it's probably cheaper to just buy the film and cover it up.

You can buy the trim from Garry Romani of BMW of Newport. Mention you are a member on this forum and you'll get a 25-30% discount. Cost should be around $200 or so...

I would have a body shop do it, not a BMW dealer, unless you like being ripped off. Negotiate a price with the body shop to do the labor, have them install it and enjoy. Your car now looks 1000 times better.
