I dropped a rebuilt N54 in my 2008 535i. There are some issues maybe someone can help me with.
I'm trying to do everything correctly.
I have a Autophix 7910 with updated software.
It does communicate with the car, but it will not get to the screen to program the new to this car injectors. It ask if I replaced the DME with no option to say no. When I click OK I still can't do it.
I get an "incorrect conditions or wrong order of service request (#22)" error.
I have searched the web to no avail.
I do have the BMW software on an old lap top, but when hooked up I don't get the battery or ignition indications on the first screen.

Ok, just thinking out loud and I know next to nothing about programming the various BMW parts, but I am a retired engineer, much if it software related. If you are presented with this screen, did you change the DME, then the car something knows there is a mismatch between some stuff. Perhaps there is no "did you replace the engine question" because that would be a lot less frequent occurrence than replacing the DME. Maybe you should go down the Yes route??

Yes. I emailed the customer support and followed their instructions to the screen where you can pick the option to code the injectors.
I'm new to BMWs but have decades of turning my own wrenches.
I did not recode replacement injectors on the last engine.
While I'm sure it could have run better, although it ran fine, I'm getting close to just starting the one and dealing with it later.
As I typed, I'm trying hard to do everything correctly.
