Hi everyone. New to this awesome forum. I need advice on 2007 550i CPO with 10,000 miles. It is Gray with Black interior and loaded with Sport, Cold Weather, HUD, Sunshades (including power rear), NAV, Remote Key. The dealer is asking (here in VA) 42,995. I have not done any negotiations. I was thinking that an offer of 38K to 39k is reasonable. Any advice on what the vehicle is worth or what would be a good deal would be greatly appreciated.

Also, what is the best guide to use for appraising a used vehicle (NADA, KBB etc.)?

Thanks

Wow, East coast dealers sure know how to jack up the price...personally, I think your intended offer is a bit high too. When I got my 550, I used KBB's whole sale value as a price guide, then cars.com, Ebay plus other local websites for comparison. Since your car is CPO, you would also have to take that in consideration but 40K mark for an '07 550 is too much.

GL with the purchase

if an 08 is available in your area in that price it would be better as the mtech kit comes stock on 08 models. I got mine for 39000. fully loaded except for night vision and heated rear seats. if not that deal sounds good since it only has 10000 miles

I bought a 2007 550i with 34k miles for $34.5K. It has the following options.

Sports
Cold
Nav
Comfort Access
SMG
Rear heated seats

BTW it's certified.

Although this isn't apples to apples comparison but I hope it helps.

Reason it is listed for 42,900 is the considerable low mileage. I would inquire first and foremost why the mileage is so low. Additionally, you can score an LCI 08 for around this price range with normal mileage, and already get the MTECH kit, 172s, and LCI headlights and tailights. This will save you thousands if you plan to mod the car.

For me this is a no brainer. If I could do it again, I would have bought an 08 LCI without question (but I probably would be dealing with HPFP problems instead of misc. other shit on the 07 :/)

No, I was saying if I bought an 08, I would have bought a 535xi instead of a 530xi. That means I would probably be dealing with HPFP problems. Sorry for the confusion

The car is 3-4 years old. I would request all the service records to verify if it was serviced once each year including oil change. The most I would pay is between the NADA clean trade in and clean retail which would be $34k-$39k. GL

OUCH!!! $43K??? I bought a similarly equipped '07 550i (sans sun shades, but with ARC) with 47k miles for just over $28k. Sounds like a great car, but I think you can get a comperable car for a LOT less money. I'd keep looking, but it's your money.
