New Heater Controls!

Hi peeps,

I have a Mar 2005 non LCI model so have the very basic heater controls in the dash (see picture). I really cannot stand it as it makes the car feel cheap as they look so awful.

Does anyone know if I was to pick up a newer heater control (see picture) if this can be retrofitted? Is it a simple case of just plugging in the cables or is there more modifications that have to be done?

I hear this will not work. I do want to do the same thing too. I hate those basic air controls.
That's my next step to "Americanizing" my Euro-spec E60.

Americanizing? wanna swap headlights? You can have my nice orange american reflectors to make it stand out

You're a bit too late ...... I even got a spare set. I could give you my old Euro set but they are only halogens.

I don't think the hvac controls can simply be swapped out -- the entire system would have to be changed too (basic vs. "high")...

where can I get that wood grain center hvac cover in dark popular I think it will make my car look more luxurious. Now I do have the americanized heater controlls
