My Ride: 2004 SMG 545i
silver grey metallic / bamboo anthracite / black leather
CPO
sport package
premium sound
park distance control
cold weather package
Hey All,
Finally got rid of the my e36 M3 and made a nice little upgrade to an E60.
Found an online deal out at BMW of long beach, drove out there, and bought the car last friday.
2004 545i
Certified Pre Owned
Silver Grey Metallic / Black
SMG
Sport Package
Premium Sound
Cold Weather Package
and still has a year left on the CPO warranty
all for $25,000 after everything was said and done.
Definitely really excited about the buy, and couldn't be happier. It's a lot faster than I originally thought it would be, and the SMG tranny isn't as bad as I was expecting either.
Yesterday, still in the excitement of buying the car, I made my first of what looks to be many orders to Trinity Autosport.
Ordered the Matte Black Grilles, Black and White hood trunk wheel and steering wheel roundels, and some smoked out LED corners.
Then also picked up a Matte Black 545i logo for the trunk from Modbargains.com
Once everything comes in and gets put on next week, I will definitely be sure to post some pictures.
I do have one noob question though...
I see all sorts of e60/1 drivers around here with their angel eyes as daytime running lights. Is there a way to have them come on when the knob is switched to automatic? does that happen automatically on LCI model lights?
And... when i do get the AIB v3.0 angel eyes, can you make it so that the angel eyes and the fogs come on without having the low beams on?
any and all input appreciated. thanks guys.

For pre-LCI cars, there isn't a setting for the angel eyes to come on automatically. Best bet would be to manually turn the headlight switch to "parking-lights" mode. For LCI cars, you have the option to enable/disable the setting via iDrive.

to the forums. Congratulations on the 545i, looks like a nice list of mods there

I have already thought about replacing mine and putting some LCI model lights on further down the road.
How much do you think they would run me for fronts and rears + installation and all that jazz?

it had just under 46,000 on the clock when I picked it up.
thanks, that's kinda what I had figured but wasn't too sure.

Tailights are a different story. There is a do-it-yourself retrofit on the forum.
