New Door Seals

Anyone else with the new door seals having a problem again? I just hit 72,000 miles and the door seals are creaking again. I had the new door seals installed at approximately 50K miles and looks like I need new ones again. I was thinking of upgrading to a 550 but all these issues are making think twice.

Upgrading to 550 will cost you another 50K. You need to think twice on this.
For the door seal, buy new one and install by yourself. Too costly to go to dealer after warranty expired.

try getting some water and a towel and really CLEAN it... just water and towel... clean the seals and the top of the door frame where it rubs against. I've been doing that everytime I wash the car and its been quiet for me.

I had a rear door seal that just wouldn't shut up on my Rover and a rag with some silicon spray wiped on the door frame where the seal touches made all the difference.

Exactly! My second set of seals creak periodically. I simply take a clean , damp towel and clean the rubber and felt seals on the door and the body. Bingo- creak is gone every time.

Whatever you do, do not use any silicone compound close to the car. It will enter every crack and cavity, never go away and eventually start to make noise.

BMW even has a cleaning product called "Silicon Remover" to get rid of it.

Only use water and towel.

Yes, and also then waxing one should be careful that the seals don't get dirty (of any wax).

Avoid getting any wax or carshampoo to the seals. In case the car will be in rain after waxing it, you may have to use dry cleaner aerosol to remove the wax, which gets to the seals with waterflow.

Really? Never had a problem in the Land Rover (thats another beast I know). Are you talking about silicone spray? Like what's used to clean electrical contacts? Or some thing else?
