My Ride: In a place where the Mercedes density is the highest in the world (no. of MB per square kilometer) I choose a Bimmer, why? because of one thing "The Ultimate Driving Experience"

Why do you think is not protective wax? My car was like that when it arrives from the place where they kept their undeliver vehicles and they have to remove it and apply polish wax prior to delivery.

Yup thats just Cosmoline... here's how they look at the VDC
and this is the "car wash" where they go through to remove it.
They're actually trying out this now. Complete bagging of the car. These bags cost $100 each!
And yes... some of you might recgonize that guy in the pic...

Those hard wax actually does a very good job on protecting the paint, the bag? Hmm....I don't know, the driver door is not protected and it looks funny

My understanding is that ED cars don't get cosmoline because 3 rd party shippers handle the overseas transport. The cosmoline gets applied out of the factory and they dont put it on the cars for ED pickup.
