Hi,

There seems to be a clear difference between LCI L7 and Individual Audio. I have been listening music from my USB sticks, and it really sounds different. I have heard new instruments in classic music that I have listened a lot before. Somehow bass is also more natural and both bass and treble can be held on higher level without disturbing or "covering" each other. I am not any kind of HiFi specialist, but I like this audio more and more every day!

It is expensive but may be even worth of that money...

Jukka

Thanks for posting up feedback

I'm no hi-fi specialist either, but what you describe is what I'd expected. From my experience with home hifi, I typically also get similar results when upgrading -- it all becomes clearer and crisper, especially when you get the urge to really wind up the volume The Individual Audio option is very pricey compared to other options, so I'm please to hear your really enjoying the system. I'm very curious about hearing it now!! I'll have to get my dealer to contact me next time he has a 5er in with it fitted...

Congrats Jukka!

Love the int and the audio + nav.

Needs only 19" wheels but go for non-RF Michelin PS 2's and M166'ers.

Jukka,

your car looks stunning, excellent choices.

My 523i has been having injector problems like your old one, the last full set of 6 injectors with the latest part number have only lasted one month. I think your comment in one of your posts was very illuminating, where you said the injector problems were fixed but the injectors just don't suit some of the LCI engines.

Congratulations on the new car, good feedback about the Individual Audio, I've been very pleased with the L7 so if the Individual Audio sounds better it must be astonishing.

Good luck and enjoy the car

My 523 (E61) have had the same problem w the injectors too...still has...jerky on occasion, rough idle. New injectors in oct 07, new pump in nov.
So I'm getting a new one in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, the new car will be okay..

Great interior combo! I think it is a nice compromise to have the beige seats with black carpet, beige carpet and kids is not a match made in heaven.

Hi all,

and thanks to everybody for nice feedback!

A small update: now 1200 kms in tacho, everything works perfectly so far. Yesterday appr. 410 kms on the road, average speed 101 km/h, consumption 7,3 l/100 km. Not bad for a new car! I was driving with varying speeds between 80 and 130 km/h, trying to make the drive in period by book.

I also found out, that there is a new tyre pressure recommendation for run flat tyres 245/40/18 93Y : front 2,0 and rear 2,4 bar - for a partly loaded car. This is 0,3 -0,4 bars less than for conventional tyres with same dimensions -(the car was delivered with these higher pressures from the dealership!!! ) These tyres are quite comfortable, but at the same time a bit noisy on rough tarmac we have here after our long winter and lots of cars having been driven with studded tyres on the roads. On new tarmac the tyres were very, very quiet though.

I also detailed the car using Swissvax Shield, a synthetic PTFE wax. I am quite pleased with the result, looks wet shiny and the car is extremely easy to wash - even hundreds of dead insects were easily removed without leaving any signs of dirt. I also used the same waxing system on our second car, a two years old jetblack 118iA - that car was not that shiny or scratchless even in the day it was delivered!

Once again, thanks for all comments!

Greetings from nightless Finland - you know the sun is not going down in the Northern part of our country in midsummer, and even where I live, there is not a possibility to test adaptive xenons before August!

Jukka
