My Ride: 2008 BMW 550i 6-Speed (Sport, Cold Weather, Smokers packages)
Here are some updated pics. Took out the carbon filter today...not too much sound change but the throttle response is a noticable difference!
Yeah i like the wheels but i really want the Dinan lightweights. Last time i checked they were sold out...

Hi, I'm also a new owner of a 2008 550i but what is that carbon filter you're talking about? The only carbon filters I know about is for the a/c unit. Please show me a pic or description if possible.

There's a carbon filter underneath the airbox air filter.

I could not agree more with the RPI suggestions. For the price there is nothing better. I had their scoops and exhaust on my previous M5 and loved it.
As for wheels if your looking for lightweight maybe BBS? Cant go wrong with LM's
Vorsteiner actually makes some really light monoblocks as well now. Take a look at the V-108's on my new car (V-108 Click Here). weighed in at ~19 pounds each.
