Well today is the big day.I am taking delivery of my 550 I.I know it doesn't look a lot different than my 04 545I,but I think there has been significant upgrades.I am looking forward to exersizing the new step.I was never happy with the operation of my 2004 step.I will update the site with my observations as I put miles on the new ride.

You will notice a significant change in the set up of the vehicle. The power is not so twitchy and the ride is much, much smoother over uneven road surfaces. Hopefully you did not get active steering as an option so the classic BMW road feel returns. What did you add on to it? Enjoy!

Congrats Grogan, I made the same switch and you will be very pleased with the LCI changes. Including interior, exterior and operationally. I will say that I find the throttle response a touch sluggish in D. I basically attribute this to the fact that I use Sport Mode so often that when I do leave it in D, I am too used to the quicker Sport mode throttle response. Doesn't do wonder for gas mileage, but then I didn't buy this car for its economy!

What are the specs on the new car?

Congrats on your new ride and, of course, we NEED pics!! Enjoy the next few weeks - there is nothing quite like that feeling you get with a BRAND NEW vehicle (especially one as nice as yours) everytime you walk by it, sit in ti and drive it Even though I purchased my '08 535i last November, I still like to just look at it in the garage...they really are beautiful and special cars!!
