My Ride: 535D Sport Auto
Wink

Picked her up today and she is fantastic, only done 40 miles so far.
Sad to see the old one go - even gave her a last clean.

First impressions - smoother, quieter, better ride, and love the colours.
Noticed you can't enter postcode in sat nav and the whole Idrive action is slow compared to bus nav????

HiFi sounds 10times better than stock system - mega bass

The one thing that has knocked me sideways is the interior light wood and black combination. IMHO it looks like a ?100,000 car inside.
Pics don't do it justice as wood is lighter in daylight.

congrats Merv!!!

looks like my Sport model...except you got the "old man" wood trim still looks great though

you will find you CAN enter the postcode. on the address entry screen just goto the line that is listed as "City" i know i know...it should say "City/Postcode"....anyway if you start enterting your postcode here you will see that the nav system will recognise it as a postcode...works fine.

during the week or so i've had my car i would say pro nav does take longer to boot up but the idrive controllor is more intelligent in that it only lets you select valid screen choices....hard to describe but you'll see what i mean as you use it....you also do not have to select things as often, for example from the front screen, if you want say navigation just push once to the right...and leave it...navigation will be highlighted and then selected automatically without having to press down on the controllor.

Conrats Merv! Time to change your signature. As already posted you can enter postcode by scrolling past "Z" in the city field.

Congrats, looks great!

IMO its the contast that makes it look good. I considered light poplar for mine but felt with beige it was wishy-washy looking, the dark polpar contrasts with the light beige ... much better.

Enjoy........... I'm sure you will.

Although I've not got SatNav I do remember testdriving a 530d that did ... I'm sure I was able to input postcode.

.. Picking mine up Saturday

Thanks for the replies.

The dark poplar IMHO would look better with a lighter interior. As you say its the light and dark contrast that seems to work well.

Unfortunately in the pic I posted the wood seems to look very much like the dark poplar, I will post more pics but of course sods law its rained all day and didn't get back till late.

Try this one instead -

Great car! Congrats.

Im still confused about the wood. What name would the wood have in germany?
It looks quite light. That colour I?d prefer for my car because the dark wood "Esche Messer" is too dark for me.

Hmmmm...

Harry,

Afraid don't know German name but ask Iceman I'm sure he will know.

Highly recommend it. It looks a bit Maybach to me
