Got new car yesterday collected from dealer.

The New 535d Sport LCI compared to my old non LCI 535d Sport!

The exterior is very simlar new lights are cool, but you only notice difference when they are on!

The interior is better, not sure about new drivers door arm rest, makes getting into door pocket even more difficult.

I went for anthracite bamboo which is such a good colour for trim, but tends to give off a lot of glare, but looks the mutts nuts.

The favourite buttons are good, as is the new dash layout.

The lane departure is a gimmck.

The main thing is the new gearbox, which is just such an inprovement over the old, the sports auto looks better than the joystick type, and the sports setting is great, the steering wheel paddles are another gimmick, and with a car with so much torque not needed.

Have yet to see what difference the xenons make along with adaptive lights, will let you know.

So over all thumbs up, the question all you non LCI guys want to know. Is it worth changing?

Answer YES if you have a diesel (Due to gearbox) Petrol NO the engines are quite and the gearbox are more suited to that set up. BE WARNED MY OPINION ONLY

One last thing the automatic lights are so sensitive, I have just set it to day time running only, The auto mode is required to activate the adaptive lights, but if you make a mental note, all the 3 & 5 you see with their full beam on during a nice day must have them on auto mode!

Keep you posted to my experiences.

Hi Russ

Sorry I did not get back to you, I live in Blundellsands (Antony Gormleys iron men on the beach) Liverpool, may we could get together in the New Year, to much eating and drinking to do before then

As you may know, the automatic setting only enables a dipped beam.
