New To 525xi - Exhaust Options
Hi new to 5series.net but have been a BMW owner my whole life and been a regular on Bimmerforums since 03. I just picked up my 2007 525xi and have ordered the front and rear M5 bumpers but also wanted to add the quad tip exhaust as well. Before pulling the trigger on anything, I wanted to know if there were any fitment issues for the XI version. Do I need an XI specific muffler or can I purchase any made for the E60? Thanks for any input you can provide!

The Xi is extremely tough to put quads on due to the space on the right side. Not that it can't be done, but I'm under the impression not a lot of shops want to deal with it. You might be better off getting a pre mfg set from a vendor.

we usually dont recommend putting a quad setup on a non-M E60 but it is possible, most that choose to do it end up having a local muffler shop do a custom job
