Does anybody know how to play DVD's while driving with the new 2010 iDrive DVD player?

Are you sure you want to do this? If you are involved in an accident and the investigation finds out about the modification then you may need to prove that you weren't using the player while driving. Where as if it is impossible because it doesn't allow it then you don't need to prove anything. Call me paranoid but I'd prefer not to have extra hassle if I was involved in an accident.

However, if you intend to actually drive and watch DVDs at the same time then you should sell your car an downgrade to a pedal bike!

AFAIK, you can't play a dvd on the iDrive player while you are moving...only while in park

And that's the way it should be!! Unless you have a dual screen view like in the new Range Rover, you get a different image of the screen depending on the viewing angle between the front passenger and the driver

Yep, only while parked. I'm sure there is a work around it but it would probably require more techinical information than I can give.
