My Ride: 535d Eccelsa, 05 2005 (built 12-04), sapphireblack, beige dakota leather, electric seats, poplar wood trim, sport suspension, 124 style 18" alloys, differentiated f/r runflat tyres, steptronic, adaptive light control, bi-xenon, BMW PRO nav, cd, cd changer, electric-foldable and automatic antidazzle rear mirrors, automatic antidazzle internal rear mirror, adjustable central armrest, BT, Hifi Professional LOGIC7 , extended functions aircon, full lighting package, green comfort fascia on windshield, PDC park distance control, voice control, CPT9000 car phone, BMW Assist, BMW On-line, BMW Tracking, alarm system, programmable remote controls.

Well, now that I've solved all the minor problems of my cars (rattling from the front passenger area, due to a mis-aligned internal panel that was removed and wrongly re-installed by the dealer) and up-rooted the bad behaviour of the car at high speed (changed tyres to no-RF, changed steering wheel to a thicker one, upgraded the software for a better AS feeling), I really enjoy a fantastic car. Every day I drive it I feel myself over-excited and totally satisfied with my ride, the driving pleasure of my 535d is so great that I can affirm without doubt that I never enjoyed such a great car.
Performances, road handling, comfort, entertainment, everything is simply great! I'm sooo happy, now, that I cannot even think to switch to another brand. I owned several different cars of the same class, from Audi to Mercedes, but no one can even approach my 535d as a total package.

What is really amazing is that I don't know any other sedan of its class that you can drive in for 800 miles a day (as I usually do once a week) in the utmost comfort and still be able to race with ANY car on the road along twisty motorways; it's real fun to see Porsche and MB SL suddenly moving to the right lane when they are flashed by a big, black, four-door sedan burning oil speeding at more than 250 kmh!

The 535d does seem to have this effect on it's owners.

Yes indeed. I feel the same way.

Now if just yhe car would have around say 350bhp it would be even better

Next time, my friend, go for a diesel. I like BMW straight-six petrol engines, but you cannot believe how much driving pleasure a BMW twin-turbo diesel engine can deliver!

Especially if pass by some good tuner that adds to your baby 50 or 60 ponies almost for free!
