The car threw an service engine light so i went and took it for diagnostic mechanic told me its the oil separator and charged me $400 to replace it after that car still does the same thing only happens on cold starts doesn't happen when the car is warm told the mechanic car does the same thing he told me when he drives it it doesn't and he cant go off my videos he needs to see it happen when his driving the car so he basically fucked me over he guaranteed that thats the problem the car doesnt throw any codes or anything need some help.

are you in motion in the video? it could be your trans torque convertor locking and unlocking repeatedly. it used to happen in an old 3 series i had. they told me the trans needed to be resealed.

look in the hidden menu for the voltage, if it drops when the rpm increase, have your alternator checked. I just replaced my alternator for the same reason. I did a lot of other cheap stuff before that, but alternator was the only thing that fixed it for me. What happens is the computer sees a drop in voltage (in my case as low as 10V) and it will run up the revs trying to get the voltage to an acceptable level.

Before you start the car, do what it states in ^ post. Then start the car. Keep in mind when you turn it off, it goes back to lock.
