My Ride: On Order as of May 6- 2007 530i Titanium Grey and Grey Leather, with Sport Package, Premium Pkg, Cold Pkg.
2006 Porsche Boxster
All,
I am taking a new job on. This job I will get a company car, Chrysler 300 most likely. This will give me four cars! Two of which are four dour sedans. Unless I want to really start looking like the hillbilly in the woods here I need to let one go at least. Which shall it be?
The 300 and 530 are in direct competition. As much as I love my 530 it may make most sense to cut it loose. The Jeep is more of a utility car that does some other work.
Thanks for the input!
Cheers,
N

My Ride: 2008 535i, 6spd mtx, Monaco Blue w/Beige interior. Sport, Preimum, Logic 7/HD/I-Pod/USB, Nav sys, rear sunshade, HUD, PDC, Split seats,
I get rid of both the Porsche and 530i and get one replacement vehicle...Cayman S? The Jeep is a keeper for two reasons..it's a great uliluty/Home Depot vehicle and you aren't going to get much for it anyway. The BMW and Porsche are still worth something...but with the new E60's around the corner and the 535i taking the place of the 530i - I'd imagine it's value is decreasing more rapidly.
Good luck

As much as I hate to say this, based on what you have said the BMW would be redundant (though I don't consider a Chrysler 300 a peer of any 5'er).
The Boxster is an ideal weekend / fun car. I too keep a Z3 garaged just for the sunny nice days!
And I agree, the Jeep is better suited to hauling firewood or for trips to the local home depot. It has less retail market value than any of the others so hang on to it for dirty duty.
The recommendation to negotiate a car allowance is a great one - many employers offer that as one of the fleet plans. Give it a shot! That way you can keep a classy sedan and not have your driveway look like a used car lot.
