Hi guys,
As many of us, my CCC radio unit is not working anymore!
My mechanic told me that the problem is the radio unit who is not sending any infrared signals to the others units...
Here is some pictures of the responsible of my nightmare

My question is:
Does any body know a place that can repair these units? preferably in Canada!
A brand new one will cost arround 3000$ at the dealer... So I'm willing to check if it can be repaired before buying a new one that will cost half the value of the car!
Thanks a lot for your help!

Here...this may...
BMW - Navigation - GPS - 65836974914: Used Auto Parts | Mercedes Benz Used Parts | BMW Used Parts
All I did was search Google for the part # and for $650, that may be worth it. Also, one here on eBay: Radio Receiver Nagibation GPS Player 65836974914 02 2006 BMW 530 E60 | eBay

BMW offers remanufactured units for ~ US$ 750. The parts come with a warranty.
Search for BMW part # 65839123088.
ECSTuning has them listed at $1,261 - $500 core charge = $761. I'm not sure if they ship to Canada, or not.

Any ideas from anyone out there???
Good luck Kewill0306 on fitting your new CIC. It will be cool when finished.
It would be nice to see a post on the finished product.

Thanks Kewill0306 but just before Christmas one came available in Canada on eBay. I will be receiving it in a few days and hopefully have it in shortly after. Then comes the problem of how to code it.

I'm in Victoria sanjsanj.
It would be great if you knew someone in my area who does that sort of thing.
UPDATE for anyone following:
I put in the new CCC when it arrived and my display jumped to life. I think I will take it to the dealers to have the VIN and FSC flashed into the unit. There are some other things I will need coded but I can do those myself with NCS expert. I don't mind coding, but flashing scares me a little. I've heard too many horror stories of people bricking their units by flashing.
I have a 2004 5series (e60) and the CCC I bought was from a 2005 6series. I have to say, everything appears to be working except for voice commands and a few "extras" I had coded in (such as AUX in) using NCS expert. I'm not sure how critical it is to have the VIN and FSC matched to my car but in the interest of keeping things "neat" I will get it done.
