Default Need an LCI shifter for parts

GF got a little frisky the other night and kicked the shifter toward the M/S gate when the engine was off.

Now the shifter is hard to get into or out of the M/S gate and won't pop back from there when pressing the "P" button. I can do +/- shifts albeit with a bit of resistance and I'm worried that something inside that's now bent may break so I'm staying in the "D" gate now. I'm not getting any error messages (yet).

The last thing I want to do is press the issue with the one who caused the damage so I'll just fix it and move on. I don't know whether the shifter is coded to the car, but I'm hoping I can take it apart and replace whatever is damaged with parts from another unit.

Anybody? Bueller?

Nobody? I need to fix it before my wife notices. She's already suspicious about the heel marks on the headliner.

Pretty sure neither one reads this forum. Fingers crossed.

So, anybody with a shifter?

Thanks, but I expect they're completely different. The LCI shifter is 100% electronic.

Still could use a shifter. And delivered would be nice too...

Got a shifter, delivered too (thanks Pierre). Now, to fit it. Earlier part number, not sure that makes any difference.

Anybody know if the shift handle pops off? And, if so, how?

It doesn't pop off..you have to remove the whole assembly. It will require some effort too. Specially when trying to pry out the assembly.

On another note, thanks for making us laugh!!
