Default Need help!...working under the hood noob here.
Hey guy
I m trying to change the spark plugs and coils on my 2007 530i,

I went to one shop and they sold me NGK iridium IX,

I went to another shop to get a bosche coil, and I told him which plugs i got and he said they are not recommended.

He said I need to get the platinum iridium ones for two time the price.

Does he know what he's talking about?

I'm stuck without the right tools to get the head off so I might as well switch out the plugs if need be. Can someone let me know what tool I need to get this head off?

Looks like something I've never seen although this is the 1st time I'm working under the hood.

You've never worked under the hood before, and this is the first thing you're going to try? I would find someone who knows what they're doing.

Almost finished!!!

Hopefully everything goes smooth.

I have to clear fault memory according to manual...anybody know how?

I bought a OBD2 with some BMW diagnostic software from eBay. With that, it came with INPA and other BMW diagnostic and coding software. Look into eBay member euautohaus.

BM Technic Diagnostic Software is good also. But you should be able to just reset everything via the dash though. Hmmm.
