NEED HELP....WEIRD LIMP MODE...READ READ READ!!!

2004 530i. So i was driving home from work, about 8 miles, and I had the cruise on at 70mph. Got home and parked in front of the garage, turned car off. Went into the house and opened the garage. Went to start the car and right when it started the idle rested normally and then started to IRRATICALLY surge from 800 to 1500 RPM. The nav screen started saying all these error and limp mode messages. One message read "cruise control malfunction". I stopped the motor, waited a min, and started the car again. The car did the same exact thing again, stopped the car. Tried starting again and once again it surged. I then just gave up and barely got the damn car in the garage, almost stalling when put in reverse or drive. Any of you had this happen before???? Im kinda freaking out, first BMW.

So I took my car in and had them fix the sun roof, had to put new flap on it, was hitting and just returning. Oh and about the issues with surging. They believe the throttle sensor is going bad. I had a issue with it sticking in 3rd and 4th gear for a pro-longed period of time. Dealer said that the two issues were related due to the fact that the throttle sensor sends messages to the tranny to shift. Hopefully I get it back tomorrow. Other than that I love this car!!!

My limp mode issue solved
I was throwing some codes p1727 p0335 and misfires along with the gear symbol saying tranny malfunction, bad battery along with a few others. Had to let the car sit for about 15 mins then it would start. I told my indy guy I needed I crankshaft position sensor and he said nope I need a IVM Module which is a lil box of fuse that control electronic items. Thank goodness I listened bc that's what it was. Error codes gone and car driving great. Thanks indy shop. Jacksonville Florida
