Hello,

I have a 2006 525i. Unfortunately it doesn't have the sport package. I want to upgrade the suspension and want something that will be AT LEAST be comparable to the OEM sport suspension if it had it. Here are the main points I want:

As much as possible I would like to keep the current ride quality but want it to confidently handle better in the turns.

I doubt that this will ever be on a track, but once in awhile I want to go with some friends to the twisties at Angeles Crest (in So. Cal.) and I want to keep up with them

I currently have the stock 17" but want to get 19" Staggered and lower the car.

I want something that will also handle the occassional Los Angeles pot holes.

Some of the suspension packages I have been looking at are Koni FSD with Eibach Pro-kit springs:

KW Variant 2 or 3
Bilstein PSS9 or 10
Nex Coilovers

Also should I get sway bars? Will that help so that I can maintain the ride?

Thanks guys,

Balbs

You posted in the wrong place...

I have bilstein sport shocks/struts paired with H&R sport springs and love the combination

I posted here first because I feel I would get feedback from actual users first. If I posted elsewhere (such as the parts and mods area) I feel I may get "marketing" from vendors just trying to sell their inventory. I'll post there later once I get some info here.

Anyway, how do you like the Bilsteins? How is the ride compared to stock?

Thanks,

Balbs
