need help reading INPA screenshot
 

Hi folks,
as I started the car ('06 530xi N52 engine) this morning, I felt the engine misfire. Couple of seconds later, I had the check engine light come up.
After scanning the car with INPA, here is the screenshot from the memory read screen.
Now I was right as it was a misfire. I can see that it points at cylinder number 2 with the 29CE code.
Can anyone please help me understanding the other lines?
Type of error, readiness flag, error-status?
Can we understand if it`s ignition related or fuel related from the messages?
I was thinking of changing the spark plugs (they are due in 2000kms anyways), and swapping the "faulty" coilpack with another cylinder to see if the problem follows it.

I've only been using INPA for a few months, but if I had to guess I'd say you had a one time misfire on cylinder two, it is not consistently misfiring on cylinder two, and not something to worry about. there are several 'faults' that can be stored inside the ECU that won't necessarily illuminate the check engine light. That's what I take away from that screen shot.

Unless you're having a consistent MIL and misfire codes for cylinder two I wouldn't worry about it. Perfectly healthy engines are capable of random misfires.

This is same as seeing 'pending codes' with generic OBD-II code reader.

Very likely, the ignition coil on cyl 2 is misbehaving and it will eventually get worse. If I were you, I'd just swap ignition coil on cyl 2 with some other ones and monitor.

I would do just as you suggested. I had a misfire and INPA didn't show anything. After a few weeks of it the CE finally illuminated. I was at the mileage for plug replacement so installed new plugs and swapped number 6 with 5 coil pack and problem was gone. Not sure what the other info is telling you though.

I swapped coilpack #2 with #1 and as suspected, the problem moved to cylinder #1!
I even listened to the injector "tick" with a screwdriver to make sure it was opening/closing.
I will be purchasing a new coilpack tomorrow and replacing the faulty unit.
PS I replaced all spark plugs while I was at it.
