Default Need help! Not running good after new valve cover gaskets

hopefully someone can help! I just got finished replacing leaking gaskets on my 06 550i. Did valve cover gaskets, upper timing gaskets, and changed spark plugs while I was at it. It was a very time consuming job, and really no fun at all. It took me a week, working on it a couple hours a night after work.
So today I buttoned everything up and was excited to start her up. I did the relearn before I started it( put key in for 30 seconds before start up, twice even). It started up fine and sounded good for a couple minutes. I turned it off and looked all around the engine to make sure everything looked good, no leakes and everything. Started it up again and about 10 seconds after starting it got really rough! I mean not running good at all.
I got the scanner out the hooked it up. Had 9 codes!

Here we go!
P0128 coolant temp below thermostat reg. Temp
P0024 camshaft position actuator B bank 2 timing over-advanced
P112b ?
P0019 cam/crankshaft pos. Correlation sensor b- bank 2
P0300 random/ multiple cylinder misfire detected
P0305 cylinder 5 misfire detected
P0308 cylinder 8 misfire detected
P0306 cylinder 6 misfire detected
P0307 cylinder 7 misfire detected

not it sure what I did but looks like I did something wrong!
If anybody can guide me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated!

I would first make sure my battery is charged up. A week battery can give you what you are experiencing. While charging make sure you cables are plugged in correctly

Ok......kind of weird!
Just went out and looked over everything again and checked all connectors and wires. Pushed on them and wiggled a little bit. Everything seems like it good, nothing unplugged.
Started it up again and everything seems fine. Ran it for a couple minutes and got smooth idle and everything.
Not ready to get it on the road yet till I know everything is good.
Anyone had this problem before?
Maybee it just took that long for the valvtronic actuators to relearn!

Oh and don’t think it’s the battery. It’s right around a year old.......but then again you never know right!

Not saying the battery is bad. It might just need charging. I know when my car has been sitting and I start it I get a lot of misfires and other things. When I charge it everything is fine. Now I keep it on a tender when I park it over a couple of days.

Ok....I feel pretty dumb!
After a little more research and investigating i think I figured it out!
I installled the two connectors to the solenoids on the drivers side wrong, the two on the front of the upper timing cover.
Just had to switch them around and she is purring like a kitten.
Just wondering about the codes.
If I erase all codes they shouldn’t show up again right?

Wow, didn’t know they are that sensitive. Might have to invest in a battery charger. Its my second car, pretty much just a weekend warrior, so it sits for days sometimes a week or two.

Once you erase the codes they should not reappear.

Yes these cars are power hungry and if the battery is weak you will get all sorts of codes.

Based on your error codes, the problem was obviously on one bank of the V8 (cylinders 5-8).

On your first cold-fire startup, the engine ran fine because the engine electronics were operating in open-loop mode, which does not use those VANOS solenoids. You idled the engine for a few minutes and then shut it off. When you started up again, the engine became warm enough to operate in closed-loop mode, which activates the VANOS solenoids. Only then did the DME realize the plugs were not connected to the proper solenoid and triggered the fault and rough engine idling.
