Then it's not a bad deal at $30k, I bought my 2005 in 2007 (same 2yr old car) CPO w/ext maint for $29K. Basically the same options then, what's the mileage? Mine had 16k on the Odo when I bought it. If the mileage/color/and options are what you're looking for then just tell em you'll pay $30k out the door.

Then I'd suggest taking your time and look around, I looked for 3 months before I bought my car - I wouldn't settle for anything less than the car I wanted for the price i wanted to pay. You can also look here on this and other forums, CPO is transferable so if you buy one from someone you still reap the rewards. Good luck let me preemptively welcome you to the 5 series family

A bunch of these cars are starting to come off leases...you may want to wait for a better selection

Get one with Sport package and SAT and you will be very happy.
Ask the dealer to print out the service records from the key, not every thing shows up on Carfax.

car is pretty basic...doesn't have the sport or premium package and no ipod hookups
If you value sharp handling, do not buy the car without the sport package. I have driven E60s with sport and without sport and the handling pretty much sucks IMHO without sport -- way too loose and floppy. My mother's base Acura TL has more body control than what I have experienced in a non-sport E60.

The sport suspension totally transforms the handling. It is a totally different car with the sport package. The sport package is worth its weight in gold.
