Hi everyone
Thanks for welcoming me to the forum on the other thread.
Looks like this is the definitive forum for E60's - different from bimmerfest
I actually had a member on the other forum ask me why I'm buying pre-owned and not new...

Anyway, I have a dilemma

I have narrowed the car I will buy down to 2 choices:

Choice 1: 2006 530xi Tit Silver with Black Interior with normal seats and steering wheel.
The pro for Choice 1 is that I am obsessive compulsive and silver is easy to keep clean.
The con for Choice 1 is that the car is pretty basic - seating and steering wise and it's a 2006.

Choice 2: 2007 530xi Monaco Blue with Tan Interior with sports seats and sport steering wheel.
The pro for Choice 2 is that it's got all the goodies I want and it's a 2007.
The con is that I am afraid Monaco blue will take a lot to maintain....

What were the subtle changes between 2006 and 2007?
Which car would you get?

Thanks for your input!

Most if not all of us here are obsessive compulsive when it comes to the cleanliness of the car. So silver or blue, you will most likey maintain the color just the same...

IMO, get the car you really want (which seems to be monaco blue). A little more info on car specs of both may help provide more input. Such as packages (sport and/or premium), options, mileage on each one? GL with your decisiion...

I think the decision is clear. 07' 530xi! It has all the options you want and it's newer! Not a fan of the sport seats, but most people that have them are happy! I say DO IT!

Thats true also, If I was looking to get pre-owned I'd definately look into the 545i. It depends how much you need the xi and how much engine power is a factor. I say go for a 545i

Both have Premium Package and Cold Weather Package.
The 2007 has the comfort/sports seats and the sports steering wheel...
But I do remember having a black E36 in my college years and that was a b*tch to keep clean....

XI's are great in the winter and rain! Be sure to get winter tires though. Go with the 07' 530xi beautiful car.
