My Ride: Ordered 550i ED on 9/24/05. Titanium silver, priority one seating (black), steptronic, sports package, premium sound system, active steering, comfort access, power rear sunshades, navigation, head up display, rear door air bag
Default

I thought I read somewhere that there was a weight limit for "comfort seats". I'm old (53 years) and pretty sure Alzheimers is in my future , I could swear I saw that people over 250 pounds (114 kilograms) would exceed the seat's safety margins. I weigh like 160 pounds so it's not a problem for me. Maybe I am inventing this restriction to keep people with big butts out of my front seats. Kinda like the same pyschology used when you don't tell people about the locations of the cupholders. Out of sight, out of mind.
Ok, I admit it -- I am biased against fat people. But won't people over 250 pounds possibly injure the seats?

Uh, Duck....

I've never paid any attention to literature on "Comfort" Seats (as opposed to Torture seats; and Garden Salads, as opposed to Sewer salads), but I'd guess if you did read such statistics, they were in relation to the ability of the seat to circulate air and vibrate body parts under the surface of the sitter.

If you crush the little tubes that deliver the air, or damp the vibrating fingers, your FAT ASS will get hot and soaked.

Cheers,

You should maybe ask your big friends not to use the electric seat adjustment while they are sitting
in the front.

I have a friend who weighs around 250 pounds so I did not order the Comfort Seats nor cupholders

He seems pretty happy riding my car both in the front and the rear.
