Hi Guys,
Need your advise please. My 2005 545i has been experiencing a rough idle for some time now. And the motor isn't as responsive. This is only on slower speeds. When on the highway, I've got no issues. When it was at the dealer recently, they just said this is normal for 2005 545's.
Many of you have commented about this in your cars. Some have used SeaFoam and it did wonders, but I don't want to cut any lines to administer the sea foam.
Was there something else, like a gas additive, that you purchased to help with a rough idle and also quick response? If so, can you please let me know what that was and where you purchased it from?
I did get an injector flush last year ~14K miles ago - but I don't think I ever noticed any improvement from that.
I have also performed the accelerator pedal reset and that helps, but I know that my car needs some other help!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Dirty MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor? It's easy to clean using MAF cleaner from a parts store. Search for DIY instructions. It's a cheap thing to try.
