So I have a 2004 545i, bought an automatic, and although it's a very nice car, comfortable and very fast, I can't help but to admire the looks of the 2008 335i 6 speed convertible with red or tan seats with iDrive and Logic 7.

I know it's a bit smaller, and only two doors, but at least it's nimble and the looks are awesome.

Now, what would I be sacrificing going to a 335i from my 545i aside from the V8 beast?

Current features on my 545i...
Adaptive cruse control
Adaptive headlights
iPod interface
Comfort 20 way adjustable seats
And all normal features a 545i comes with
Don't have Bluetooth, Nav or SAT radio.


The 335i comes with pretty much all the above, not sure about the comfort seats though. But what about mechanically? Turbos, Fuel Pump, Oil coolers etc.?
Any major issues?

335 uses the same engine as the 535 which has been notorious for high pressure fuel pump failures. At least make sure the pump has been replaced under BMW's recall...
