Default Need Advice, Weird codes - Thoughts?

Hi,

Got a 2010 535i with an N54 and have a number of issues that have popped up creating confusion. The first to be addressed may be caused leaking injectors, which are original (70k miles), but wanted to get some opinions.

On cold start it definitely has a few misfires. I am getting codes 2c31 and 2c32. I've replaced 02 sensors and don't think I've got them swapped.

I ran INPA and found the injectors to be operating within normal parameters, they were all very similar.

I didn't think to check the high pressure pump, but can do so using INPA if this could be an issue.

Do I simply pull spark plugs and try to smell gas on them to determine if an injector is leaking? Is there another way?

Annoyingly, I have found with this car that codes can be caused by things not clearly linked to the description of the code, which is why I'm asking you all.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Verns

If you have ISTA there's an ABL that will test the fuel system. Otherwise pulling the plugs is a way to test. Misfires can come from a lot of things. I always run ABL and then do smoke test and between those 2 I mostly find my issue. Many tests can be ran without even opening the hood. Nothing wrong with the old school way of doing things as I also do them.
