First of all thank you in advance for those who reply.

I have a 2008 528XI approx 46500 Miles and the front passenger side tire has a bubble. Ofcourse I want to change this ASAP and wanted to know if its good to change just the front 2 tires given I buy the same Continental 225 50 R17 94V

OR

Should I change all 4?

NOTE: the outer thread is not so good but the inner is pretty decent (my point of view)

Lastly, does any one know how much each tire costs from BMW, i checked tire rack and is around 678 for all 4 (same as current)

can any tire shop change them or has to be done via BMW? i know these cars have sensors etc etc etc

Again, thank you.

I would say a good tire shop could change them. TPMS sensors are very common (they are mandatory on all cars after 2007 right?) so they should be familiar with them.

With an xDrive car, you want all four tires to match. The tire shop could probably measure the tread all around and tell you if you need to change all or just the fronts.

Change them all - I bet the tread would be gone by winter time anyhow - I am at a similar mileage and will be getting new tires in the winter - I don't want to go down 2/32

Probably time to replace all 4 with a set of all-seasons. Best to check if the wheel that has the tire with the bubble isn't bent. If it is, they can be repaired/straightened. The Conti's DSW get good reviews. If you decide to have an indy do the tire swap be sure they have good equipment and qualified help so your wheels don't get damaged.

The TPMS do not require any "calibration" except reset via iDrive. Check your owner's manual for instructions. {you probably already know there's on on-line in the information section of this forum}

If you decide to buy at TireRack they have recommended installers with prices noted on their website. And if you shop/buy thru the link in my signature you'll earn an extra cash rebate.

Contis DWS or Michelin PIlot Sport A/S would be my choice.
