My Ride: [b][i]08 E-60 535i TT[/i][/b], 07/07 Production Date, Space Grey w/Blk Dakota interior, SA Tranny w/Pad Shift, Sport Pkg, Prem Pkg, NAV, PDC, IPOD, 30% Lumar tint front, 20% Lumar tint rear. 20" EXE "Konkourse" machined polished aluminum alloy wheels, 20x9 front, 20x10.5 rear, riding on Toyo Proxes 4's -255/30/20 front & 295/25/20 rear.
[b]Gone but not forgotten![/b] - 04 E-60 545i Silver Gray w/gray dakota interior, Sprt Pkg, Prem Pkg, CW Pkg, HUD, NAV, Logic 7, PDC, Rear Shades.
Go with #1. I would never consider any model without the sports package.

sport is the most important package above all others IMHO

I agree - go with #1.
Besides, comfort access and park distance are pretty unecessary options. I do find it odd that they would have a manual (#2) with a non-sport pack car.
Looks like #1 dominated the voting so far, but if you are still undecided, just sit in the comfort seats again - they rock!

You don't say where you are from - but #2 does not have Cold Weather and I would hate to get into those seats if they were not heated on a cold winter morning.

Not dissenting from the majority, I'd go for number 1 too, but a non-sport E60 is still a fine handling car. Test drive both and see what you think. I suspect most of us for whom sport is a 'must-have' don't (and probably can't!) get anywhere near its limits or potential in any event! 
Edit - after seeing LowOrbit's post, is car#2 a manual? If so shouldn't it have sport? I don't think you can get a non-sport 6-speed.

Interesting point of view and I might have agreed with you once upon a time. However after having owned a 528 with sport package vs the none sport package 528 my former boss owned I can tell you there is a major difference. Granted the freeway driving here in So Cal can be like going from parking lot to parking lot, however even then some moments arise when better handling is called for and baby when the roads are open the sport package definitley brings out all the potential of owning the "ultimate driving machine".
If you just want a daily driver to get you from home to job and back and economy is a major priority, then go without the sport package. But if your priority is to own a drivers car and you desire to enjoy all that owning and driving a BMW has to offer, then its a "no brainer".
