I downloaded Navigon for my iphone. If you are interested, but didn’t want to gamble the $69 cost of the app. let me attest to the fact that it works just as good, if not better then any basic stand alone gps out there. I want to use this as my gps as my wife has stolen my stand-alone unit. The only issue I am having is charging the phone. Please forgive me if this question has been asked already. I have a 05 545. I have the ipod integration kit in the glove box and it works great with my 30 gig 5th gen ipod for music. However I also have iphone 3g. When I try to attach it to the cable in the glove box it says charger not authorized or something to that effect. I think I need the schose power converter, is that correct? Also the cigarette lighter in the front doesn’t work at all. It doesn’t even work to use as lighter and only one of the ones in the back works. Is that a fuse thing or something?

I did a search to the same thing on this forum, below is a link to the adapter:

Regarding the Cig socket, most likely a fuse has blown, time to roll up the sleaves.

That's pretty cool. I saw this on the App store but hesitated on purchasing it. I'm waiting for TomTom to publish theirs. So far, what's your take on it? Have you used other brands to compare it with?
1. It takes about 20-30 secs to boot and get a signal.
2. If a call comes in and you accept it, after you are done with that call it take about another 30 secs to get a the signal back and get you on track. Which by that time you could have missed your exit or something.
With that being said, if you are just driving and you miss where you are supposed to turn the re routing is almost instant. I live in South Carolina in a area where my new house is not even on Google Maps yet and it found it so I would have to assume that the maps are pretty up to date. I was going to buy a new lower end stand alone unit because I only need gps for directions. I don?t needs the bells and whistles of being able to see pictures or listen to music. I just need to know where I am going. LOL. I am glad I went with this one. It is one less thing to have to lug around now.

Does it provide voice prompt/assistance? Do they give free map upgrades with the purchase? For $69, you can get a very decent low end GPS these days.
