I thought that navigation should have been inclusive of Map and instructions - but in my 525 (built 08-05 reg01-06) in Australia, the navigation is only by instructions - there is no map .... Am I missing something ???

There should be a map option with at least three views. RTFM?

you have the business nav only.
this one is not offered in the US at all.
it is a "cheaper" way of nav..... works the same but.... the map is missing only arrows and intersection pics. voice guidance works excellent.

Like Peter530 said. Only voice guidance supported by arrows, no maps.

The car is not new, has 6000ks on it, but yes its not professional NAV only business NAV. It works pretty well in terms of getting me to my destination, but map would have been better ..... sigh .... so I think I'll have to live with it.

As I said in the other topic you started, you might want to see if you can have the professional nav retrofitted...

I checked that out with my dealer to upgrade a non nav car to a pro nav it should cost me about 6500 dollars including the work. That's why a bought an external device which also has the possibilities to warn me of all the speedcameras
