I have recently purchased a second hand 530D SE. It was first reg'd Oct 2003. I have not yet seen the vehicle but the owner claims it has Professional Sat-Nav and TV. Yet from screenshots of the IDRIVE it only appears to have 6.5 inch screen and says OBC on the right hand side of the menu, where I would expect to see Navigation. Is this feasible? I would be grateful for any guidance. Screenshot provided by owner is attached. Thanks

That car dosent have Pro. Navigation on that picture!

But if the owner claims that the cars has it, it might have been retro-fitted ?

Do you think the retro-fit system have full BMW pro-nav functionality? Do you know if you can retro-fit the 8.8 inch screen, as I have asked him and he assures me that it does have the wider screen. Thanks for any help.

If he says so the picture you have is from before he retro fitted the PRO NAV system.

If you have the PRO NAV retro-fitted you will get the larger screen ! You can't have PRO nav with the small screen.

But the picture you have uploaded has no BUS nav or PRO nav...

You can retro-fit the Pro-Nav as I did about a year ago but you need to give a dealer a call, give him your VIN # and ask if you have the required 6UA option necessary to retro-fit the NAV. It cost me $1800 when I had it installed. And yes, it does have full BMW pro-nav functionality.

Some member here asked if replacing 6.5" with 8.8" possible and he did say why even I asked him. Probably, he just replace the screen and fool buyer that the car has pro nav? Just a thought!
