Hi,

I've seen a couple of navigation screen images and just wondering what BMW cars do they come from.

My E60 Professional Navigation looks like the image on the LEFT, I assume the RIGHT image is from a MarkIV.

I think you're correct (except on my screen, there is one image on top of the other -- not left and right).

My E39 had the Mark-IV system and it had the little GPS box in the top-right corner that indicated how many "birds" were visible to the car -- once you hit like three or more birds, the letters "GPS" came on showing that you were able to navigate beyond the dead-reckoning systems. The only real difference is that on my 2001 E39, I didn't have the perspective view that is shown there...

On the first image it looks like it's from pro-nav but I'd like to know how the speed camera POI's have been added/displayed.

Anyone got any ideas as I have a 2005 E60 with pro-nav and I can display 'information' items on the map but have never seen speed camera icons/options.

Time for a bigger screen? What size display do you have and at what resolution?

I wish our Nav was similar to the Neverlost system that Hertz offers. I love Neverlost and it tells you exactly where to turn. If you have a 3 way split on a road, ours just tells you to bear to one side and the screen isn't of much help if the roads don't vear too far from each other.

The arrow in the assist window or HUD is useful to tell you where to turn or head towards.

Hi,

Say if you come to a round about, doesn't your navigation tell you to take the 3rd turnoff or whatever.

Going to golf, when I'm approaching a 3 way intersection and wanting to turn left, my nav will say something like:

1) Prepare to turn left
2) Turn left in 300 metres
3) Turn left

For me with the Pro Nav, I get the map on the left and the arrow on the right displaying intersections, roads etc.
