Is your car Nav prepared?
If it is prepared, then it will be a very easy installation.
I don't think that you gonna have troubles with it, damaniack (from Australia) bought Nav Pro from Amador, tested it and had no problems.
Also that guy is very responsible.

I don't know how to tell if it's nav prepared. I bought it used as a lease and it didn't have the window sticker. How can I tell?

I bought fan wiring/connector (8 Eur.) and checked CCC fan, but had no luck. Fan was also defective.

Did you look at the fan for at least a few minutes, it's temperature sensitive so if the CCC is cool, the fan won't work until it gets hotter? I got caught thinking was wiring was wrong. I then decided to watch it for about 5 minutes and it finally started.

The only issue was that the CID (8.8" display) was not compatible (according to SSS system) to the specific CCC, so the tech guy has to remove one monitor from a loaner car and installed it on my car, just to continue the update proccess and when update finished he re-installed my monitor. System asked to replace the monitor with part# 65 82 6 973 546
He was tried to bypass the system's display rejection, with the "OK continue update anyway" path, but he had no luck with my monitor, but he did had luck with the loaner's monitor, because system rejected and the loaner's monitor also, but accepted it with the "continue update anyway" command. Crazy things
Loaner's monitor was part# 65 82 6 938 108
A problem on future updates, that's for sure, so I will ask Amador to exchange it, with a compatible, or "semi-compatible" one, to CCC.
My CCC is the newest part number available by BMW, compatible to all E60 models, manufactured on year 2006. Part# 65 83 6 987 689
My CID is manufactured on year 2004 and is not compatible to the above CCC, but functions perfectly (update was continued using a compatible CID only). Part# 65 83 6 957 343

Bugga, I'll have to check my 8,8" monitor as IO may have the same issue as you when trying to update and not sure if BMW Adelaide will change monitors from another car to continue the Pro Nav retrofit update.

No way, I was running V21
To swap a monitor (you know), it's a 2 min. job.

I know, I just had a look at mine. Apparently BMW have instructed BMW dealers not to bother with progman errors with incompatible parts, I believe BMW Adelaide wouldn't try and swap monitors to complete a progman update. As you know, every minute in at BMW service costs you an arm and a leg and I'd like to minimise the cost if at all possible
Unfortunately I think I'll have the same problem as you. It seems the compatible 8,8" monitors are SVDO according to http://bmwfans.info/part-65826973546/.
Mines an ALPINE, I tried to work out the Part #, but they wrote texta over it.
Has Arek said anything about providing you with a compatible 8'8" monitor, I might have to ask the same.
I think it's a mandatory requirement that your E60 can be Progman updated at anytime in case an update is required. Arek said the Pro Nav was 100% functioning, it looks like ours aren't 100%.
