I've got an 04 which I assume the CD in it is 7 years old. Just want to know if they're still making updates on these CDs and where can I get them?

Yes you can still get updates. Personally I'll be looking for a 2010 disc, as from 2011, the updates are split on multiple CD's for most locations. In NAM, there are two discs (east and west) and in Europe there are three. I don't know about down under though and if you don't have the split issue you may as well get the 2011 update.
Please note there are different types and they are not interchangeable. For the e39, the "high" system is required. For the E60/E61, you either need Business or Professional depending on your hardware and I guess you know whether you have one or the other.
There are tonnes of download places on torrents but they are not licensed so you will either have to purchase a new DVD dearly at your local BMW dealer, or find an online dealer that will sell a digital map DVD at a somewhat discounted price, but with a legal copy. Google search for "bmw professional 2010 dvd australia map" should do it.

Thanks for that Nav really appreciate it. Just had a look to see what's available out there online, and I'm confused with the MK and Versions. I think mk is the nav system model? Btw I've got a Business Nav system.

Done some more research and it turns out I can get a full map in my 2004 and get rid of the arrows I've got now. Apparently I need to update the firmware first, does anyone know how to do that?
