It's always the smallest things. Lol. Hopefully you're good now at least you should be. Fingers crossed.

Got codes, same issues.... however a LOT has progressed... turns out my rod bearings were SHOT... no damage to crank but one rod had to be replaced. We have the engine all back together and are back in the "testing" phase with new rod bearings, oil pickup tube, new vanos and a flush of the entire oil system. I have it on Stage 0 right now till I hit 500 miles. IF all goes well I will get the custom tune in place and report back.

Thanks for the update. Your engine is giving you a hard time. Hopefully after this you're good

Wow, what an ordeal. It is admirable you have not set it on fire yet.

LMAO!!!! My buddy says the same thing daily... as he tossed his and put an LS in there.

The final report.... It WAS due to the bad rod bearings.... After changing them, putting the original Vanos Cam Gears back on cleaning vanos filters, installing new vanos, new oil pick up tube everything is running PERFECTLY.
I have 0 leaks anywhere, almost everything to this horrible engine is new (LOL) and the custom tune has been running great!

My advice to anyone with their engine in the mid 100's is to check those rod bearings BEFORE anything else and keep it a cheap simple job!
