I am thinking about doing the 3 stage manifold upgrade, the manifold doesn't seem that much (used on ebay). I have the 3L 525i. Is it true I will get 530i performance with the part and a tune? It sounds too good to be true.

 

Apparently Maptech in England can do the N53 325i to 330i custom tune to make use of the DISA flaps/valves. People on n53 3 series are getting around 250-260bhp from 325s. Im guessing they can do the 5ers also. Need to sort my callipers and get new tyres first but am definitely going to get the manifold upgraded and the tune.

I don't think just bolting on the 530 intake just makes it all plug and play. The car computer will need to know. I don't know what that entails. But, I just had the intake off the other day and I'd just leave it all alone if I were you.

 

I could do without DISA flap drama no doubt haha. I'm thinking best play is to get it dynod first and sort injectors if I'm down on power.
