Well, I got my winter setup installed on both cars the day before our first snowfall. Talk about good timing. My wifes X5 had the 4.6 20's on. Took those off and put the Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snows on the stock wheels powdercoated black. My car, I took my black style 32's off and put the 123 wheels back on wrapped in Dunlop Winter Sport M3's. I also added 10mm Eibach spacers to the rears. I must say, I love them. When I pull out of the garage in the morning, they're perfect. When I leave the office at night, the car sits outside and I notice a flat spot on all 4 tires until they warm up. Does anyone else notice this with these M3's. Other than this, they seem to handle fantastic. I need some more time with them to really give a good review. Oh, and I'm aware I have no center caps. I will next week.

I can't say I've noticed any flatspotting of the M3's after it's been sitting in the cold. I'll keep an eye out but I'm pretty sure I'd have noticed it if it was happening.

What tire size and pressures are you running?

Stock sizes. 245/40/18's all around. 34 psi on the front and 38 psi on the rears. How about yourself?

I'm using 17" wheels for winter using the 225/50R17 size.

According to the door jamb sticker (found here) I'm inflating the tires to 32psi front and 38psi rear (4 person load).

just out of curosity - are those rims on the X5 - 17's?

I ask becasue they have the same size and offset I want for my 530xi - and I keep seeing them on ebay.
They are my favorite style rims (and they look great in black)

if you get bored try to put one on your e60 - the offset will be wrong for your e60, but I just want know if the hub area will fit.

just kidding, but do you think they will fit the e60?

They are 18's. Don't know if they would fit the E60.

I have some flatspotting. It takes ~ 1 mile or so for the vibrations to go away.

I use Nokia wheels. I'm very satisfied.

I just ordered my run flat 245/40/18's from 1010tires - Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero -very expensive (343.00 a piece!!!!) but R&T loved them - quiet, great handling no diff from non-run flats and I wanted the extra security of a run flat tire -

I'm mounting them on my 123's once my car arrives (on Courage Dec 19 in NY, in Boston by ? end of December - getting my aero kit and bra installed at the dealer....

will update the forum on my thoughts with the RF Sottozeros..............
