Just finished washing my car, took it out for a spin to blow the water out and clean the brake discs and whilst cornering I got a 'bing'.

Active Steering Fault. Continue driving but wheel may be offset. Steer carefully! blah. blah.

Annoying, but I look forward to getting the 'updated' AS and software. I believe the AS hardware has changed since my early car and I want CIP 19 too! They can also fix my stuck cupholder! (Haven't they been updated too!?) Oh yeah, I'll have an M5 as a loaner!

You washed your car. :) You may have no choice, but you might want to avoid 19.02 especially because of the BT problems, but you probably know about them. Good luck whatever.

The problem has just gone away now! Bet it comes back!

I must admit I missed AS a lot when it was deactivated! The difference is phenomenal!

Hopefully your active steering stays, well active, but when the situation happened to me, I thought it was fun to experience the difference.

Meanwhile, I think I'm still on SW version 12 or 13....

Indeed - you really miss it when it's gone!

I'm expecting it to come back myself... I had similar problems with my adaptive headlights - the green LED started to flash and the headlights stop turning... Then they just started, then stopped, then started........... New headlight was required eventually.

We shall see!
