SUP YALL,
I've only had my e60 for about 4 months now, and today I woke up and noticed that my Navi Monitor's brightness was weak as hell. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with my subwoofer? Is it draining too much battery? Anybody have the same problem?
I drove it a bit, and it looks like my battery got recharged, but still wondering what's going on?

My Ride: 520d LCI, old engine, manual, black dakota, platingrau II, standard (242?) rims.
If it's really dark, the backlight may be out all together. In that case, one would expect some flickering or a partially lit screen. If it's still lit, but the lighting is relatively dim, check out whether you see some orange-reddish color in a corner or a complete side at startup (ideally on a white screen). That's a sure fire way of detecting that the backlight is dying. It should of course not happen after four months; TFT screens should have a 5 - 10 000 hour life span.
