So today i'm driving on the highway on my way to the mall with a friend. So we're talking and all of a sudden the front piece of the passenger cup holder pops right off and hits him in the head. After laughing about it i asked if he was ok, didnt hit his eye or anything. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Seems you have purchased the James Bond version of the E60. Wait what will happen tomorrow...
Never heard about that.

You must have gotten my e60 by mistake. I ordered the eject cup holders, but I never got them.

Mine broke off as well one day when i ejected the cup holder. The cup holder on these cars were made poorly, mine driver side holder right now does not even close all the way and i have had it fixed already one time! But i will not let a cup holder keep me from loving this car!

Yes, the exact same thing happened in my car. We used to use it as a party trick of sorts. These cupholders are the absolute worst!

Is fixing a cupholder really too much to ask BMW?
I mean... it's a god damn cupholder!
