My Ride: 2006 550i pretty stock so far
I just got my 2006 550i and one this I noticed (probably due to the extreme cold of the last few weeks) is that my heater doesnt work that well. While some hot air blows out of the top and bottom vents, the forward facing vents blow cold air. Is this a common problem or something i should get checked out?

Thought the same thing and had my heating system checked out at the dealers. They explained regardless of settings you will never get lots of super hot air through middle/forward facing vents as the cars heating system is only set to deliver slightly warm air from these vents to prevent driver tiredness! bottom vents provide the most heat.

Go to idrive / climate menu and check the basic settings for centre vents. They can be adjusted to blow cold/neutral/warm air.

You can also adjust the intensity of the automatic program in the Climate portion of iDrive. I find that Medium works for me.
