Congrats! I like these cars without tinted windows. I think it adds that luxury look for some reason. I have mine at 40% ... I should've gotten 30%

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I've been a car guy all my life but have never really had enough disposable income to have anything really great. I've owned quite a few fun drivers and some basket cases. My last car was an 89 Nissan 240sx coupe that I bought in Georgia and brought back to Ohio. I lost interest in the car after building on it for several years. I just never fit in to the tuner scene and when I realized I was a 38 year old man having to constantly explain why I don't want an SR20, a drift wing, a turbo, flush fit 19s and why I was getting rid of my HKS cat-back cuz it sounded like a fart...it was time to sell. It went to a young guy in MI who proceeded to mash it all up drifting and put a Titan v8 in it.

I've been wishing for a BMW for many years and have been doing my research so I feel like I walked into it knowing well what I was getting in to. I have a good mechanic and we went over the car on a lift and it's very nice, so I'm happy. It does appear to have a leaky valve cover gasket and I think I will tackle that this summer when I do the spark plugs.. The drivers side brake ducting has broken where the front belly pan screw is but the ducting is intact. In time I will source one of them since this car is so very close to mint condition.

I do have mods I would like to do and there are a bevy of tasteful mods out there.
Things I plan to do someday in order of preference are...

1. Spec dock for iPhone and Dension iCon module might do sport button mod from roskinc, dunno
2. LED fender light, interior bulbs and door sill bulbs
3. 19" E60 M5 wheels in black sapphire like the body
4. Magnaflow cat back (not sure if I want to go quad tips or not) with Remus tips
5. MTech body mods but no M5 mirrors or spoilers. Again, exhaust will decide if I change rear bumper
6. Projector fogs
7. Window tint
8. Wood trim additions for steering wheel, shift knob, dash portion by the DSC and seat heater buttons, back of console in front of rear seats

That's all I care to think of so far since all of this will wait until I maintenance the crap out of her top to bottom. I have to go over to the dealership where it came thru most recently and see if they can help me shed a little light on some recent services reported in the car fax. The trans seems fine and strong but there was a warranty claim near 60k for trans service and the oxidization on the trans pan bolts tell me the pan hasn't been off. The iDrive tells me brake fluid isn't due for a while or filters but I'd like to start fresh on all items and reset the clock.

Sorry I blabbed forever...

Thanks! I spent a lil time cleaning up the interior yesterday and it is in great shape. There are a few small wear spots such as where your thumb touches the panel on the volume knob but it's not bad. The dealers detailed it very nicely for me but they didn't get into every nook n cranny and I'd like to get all the previous funk n bits out and leave behind my own
