I would appreciate that since I just got the car back again from the dealership today.
The steering column creaks while adjusting and the driver seat clicks/creaks when coming to a stop. They had to replace the steering column and the driver seat rail.

Curious to know if an actual BMW NA rep has contacted you???

Quick update.
BMW NA called me shortly after the rep said they would. The rep was very courteous and helpful. After a short discussion I expressed my intent of selling the car and she offered to get a buy back process with BMW NA started. She said the process takes about 2 to 6 weeks.
I am still not happy with how the car drives (or stops actually), but I gotta say I am pleased with how BMW NA is handling my case so far.

I'm with BMW of North America, LLC. I've passed this message on to a BMW NA Customer Relations Representative who will be in touch with you soon.
Damn, a BMW Customer Relations person on the board.....THAT is truly AWESOME. We'll done BMW....makes me very happy knowing the OEM is lurking here. BTW, I love our 545i....piece of art really!

That is awesome news. Sorry to hear about your troubles, but a big +1 to BMW for stepping up to fix it. Good luck with whatever you get next.

Hello,
I bought my first ever BMW a couple of months ago and already it has been in and out of the dealership 4 times. The dealer eventually had to replace the transmission, crack vent valve, retrofit the moonroof (slamming problem), replace the door sills twice now (it still creaks by the way), and fix rattles and creaks at the hood. Twice I had to bring it back to the dealer because they did not put the car back together properly. Once after they replaced the transmission it did not recognize when I shifted to DS or manual mode and another after I found out there was a half inch gap between the hood and the windshield by the windshield wiper, outside the car.
Yesterday, I started hearing a loud click under the driver side seat every time I hit a stop. I am very disappointed because a lot of these problems are on the BMW checklist for CPO cars. Makes me wonder whether the dealership actually ran the car through the checklist and if they did, this would make me question the reliability of the car.
At this point I have decided the time that I spent in and out of the dealership is not worth it. I have two very young kids and a demanding job and I have lost so many hours at work already. So I decided to get rid of this car and either get another E60 or a different brand altogether. I know this will set me back some and I would like to minimize that as much as possible. I am hoping you guys could chime in your ideas and recommendations.
