Exclamation

I was cruising with my new car this evening and enjoying the ride. When i stoped at a light i see a crappy tuned e36 debadged with three guys in it.
Anyways when the light turned green he took off before me.Made a distance of approximatelly 10 meters and then stopped accelerating. When i reached him after 2 seconds he accelerated heavily.I saw one of the passengers laughing but thats what i also did.

Of course i didnt react to his call.

I had 140 km on the clock and i need 1960 more to finish the break in period if my math is good

Probably It wasnt bigger than 318.I could see that the car was struggling to accelerate. If it was on the highway i would have smoked him with 6th on the box and not more than 3000 RPM

The reason i say ''kill'' is because even if it was a 328 and i wasnt in break in it would have been an easy kill.It wasnt an m3 which is the only e36 that would give me a hard time.

Eventually they were waiting to turn left at some point where i continued straight.I think they might realised their mistake when they saw my badge. If i wasnt breaking the car in then they would have seen the badge much earlier

The car feels so powerful.Even below 3500 RPM which is the maximum i 've taken it yet.

The interior is great.I really dont regret the color choise which matches great with the anthracite headliner.

The Active Steering is amazing.Just a bit more than half a turn and you turn 90 degrees.Turning now becomes easier and faster in the city.

The sunroof which i havent used yet as it gets dark at 4 oclock here right now gives a nice lighting from lighting poles and other lights.

When there are no lights around though the lights package takes over and the car becomes so nice.It gives a warm feeling which is nice.Worth the money as it is a cheap option and is special.

Mirrors are absolutely great. They look good too. The base of them is high gloss same with the stripes around the windows.Very classy and sporty at the same time.

The aux in is also a nice feature. My son has got an mp3 and the cable needed. You know He needed to fix the bass and tremble a tiny bit and then it sounded very neat.

One thing that i find a litlle annoying is the sound of the PDC.Is there a way to turn the volume down a bit?

Overall the car is very very nice.Cant really see any bad things right now

Just sharing my first experiences with the car.

Very nice review and awesome reading. I am so damn jealous but I have to wait for my pearl until week 2 next year - a carbonblack 530iT. But like a swedish saying; if you wait for something really nice, than you can wait a little bit longer

I thought that our 530i was pretty quick, but last weekend my wife wasted me while driving my 01 ITR. I thought that I would be able to at least keep up with her. We got on the autobahn (which has some pretty steep grades in my area) going up some hills I couldn't get over 130mph floored. after about 10 miles my wife had about 1.5k on me. I got on her ass on some back roads then she got on it. She left me in corners and straights. My wife can't even drive that good. She doesn't even know what heel and toe is. The ass end of the 530 started to break loose a couple times on me. The integra has some crappy Falken all seasons for winter, and the BMW had a new set of LM22's. Oh well I have kept up with E36 M3's in the ITR. I don't know what I was expecting out of the 530.
