Cool news that there will be yet another 550 in the Chicago area soon.

Enjoy ED ... that sounds like a great experience (except for the part where you wait for it ... again).

With our luck with Chicago weather it will either be 70 degrees on the day you pick up your 550 here (and you won't have time to play golf) or it will be a huge March snow storm.

Congrats CVT... you are picking up almost exactly 1 year after I did. Keep an eye on the weather.... it was freezing cold and snowy when I was there Feb. 20-28, 2005. Check out the link below to my ED Experience.

Have fun and have a bier for me!

CVT... Congratulations! Have a great trip. I did one same time last year and spent 2 weeks driving the car all over Europe! 2005 miles when I dropped it off in Paris. Yes the wait back at home can be brutal, but well worth it. Have fun!

Thanks. I'll start with an Augustiner for you!! One question. How difficult was it to drive in the snow you experienced or say 4 inches or less? I noticed you have the sports package. The train was a great idea.

You have purchased a real quality automobile with the finest computer tech,
for instance the DSC 8.0 (including ABS, ASC, DBC, EBV).

Driving in 4 inches of snow the problem will be your M specs (low suspension
and nice front spoiler).

Why didn't you get the 530xi?

Your 550i is not a 4WD but otherwise I suppose you can handle it.
If it is really slippery and the car only spins, take off the DSC but
remember that you have an 367 hp and 490 Nm strong car!
